This piece was inspired by the moment candies tumble out of their wrapper in a flustered, almost helpless rush. The twelve zodiac animals take on the role of hard candies here, each one a tiny fragment of time that escaped by accident. It functions both as a necklace and a brooch, offering multiple ways to wear and experience it.
In my work, the twelve zodiac animals serve as symbolic embodiments of time. Rather than simply referencing their traditional meanings, I use them as visual fragments of passing moments—concrete markers of time’s flow. While they retain their cultural roots, I also assign them new, layered roles, allowing them to take on more playful and diverse meanings within each piece.
