A dining table holds more than just food—it carries the simplest and most genuine moments of happiness in everyday life. It doesn’t need to be adorned with elegant tableware or filled with extravagant dishes. Sometimes, a bowl of hot soup, a freshly baked piece of bread, a passing street food cart, or a shared moment with someone can warm the heart and bring comfort to an ordinary day.
Eating is not just a physiological need; it is a ritual, an expression of life’s texture, and a bridge that connects people to food and each other.
This series captures the delicate yet touching details of dining—the joy of a favorite dish, the moment of lifting food with chopsticks or a fork, the gentle clink of utensils, the hesitation before taking the last bite on the plate, and the deep satisfaction of chewing. Through these seemingly insignificant moments, it seeks to highlight the pure and simple joy found in the everyday.

In this piece, I continue to use the twelve zodiac animal elements as a tangible representation of the concept of "time." These redesigned 3D zodiac figures symbolize fragments of daily life and memory within my series, creating a dynamic visual rhythm while infusing the work with deeper emotional warmth and narrative tension.

"My Dining Table" series begins with the dining table but ultimately explores the essence of simple happiness. It can be a carefully prepared dinner, a bowl of instant noodles eaten late at night, or even the quiet contentment of scooping up the last spoonful. Every moment at the table carries warmth and human connection—it is not just a place for meals but a reflection of life itself, where people bond over food and shared experiences.
Happiness is not complicated; it hides in these small, often overlooked moments at the dining table.
